Rare Earth Super Magnetostrictive Materials

¡¡¡¡Among all the merchantable magnetostrictive materials, rare earth super magnetostrictive materials ( Terfenol-D) has the largest strain and power density. Comparing with the piezoelectric ceramic, the traditional materials in electric-mechanic transition, the devices using Terfenol-D as driving elements has advantages in high power, small volume, simple structure, quick response, high accuracy, wide frequency band and high reliability.
