In aspect of magnetic refrigerating materials, BRIRE's research trends in refrigerating mechanism and relation of composition to magnetocaloric effect of rare earth magnetic refrigerating materials including research and production of Gd and its alloy, GdSiGe and doped LaFeCoSi alloy. Besides, BRIRE also do the research on permanent magnetic room-temperature magnetocaloric direct measuring apparatus, magnetic field system of permanent magnetic and high magnetic induction in room-temperature magnetic refrigerator.
